Resting Hand Study

A painting of a hand is physically removed from its background. After it is shifted slightly and restitched to the paper, the gap reveals a green salt-and-ink wash on another piece of paper that is stitched to the main painting. The arrangement of this imagery creates the illusion that the hand is resting on a surface that does not exist, possibly reaching into another dimension.
